Affordable Colleges Online has been a leader in major college rankings since 2013, with more than 1,000 institutions of higher education sharing their ranking with students, families, alumni and local and national media.

The website generates the rankings by comparing over 1, 500 not-for-profit colleges with full online programs and annual tuition rates below $25,000 per year. They also analyze more than a dozen factors to create the list including student-teacher ratio, job placement of graduates and the availability of career and counseling services.

Dr. Debra Spring, dean for the School of Nursing, is pleased with the recognition, and looks forward to taking the School to even higher heights in the future.

“It feels great to be recognized for all of the dedication we put into making the online School of Nursing program accessible, affordable and attainable,” said Spring. “This is big for us, and serves as motivation to continue the good work of producing great Alcorn nurses of knowledge and high character.”

President Alfred Rankins, Jr. applauded Spring and her staff for their hard work.

“Dr. Spring and her staff have done a tremendous job at the School of Nursing,” said Rankins. “They are pushing the School forward and keeping the standard of excellence at Alcorn alive and well. I appreciate their efforts, and I congratulate them on their latest accolade.”
