The Department of Business Administration at West Virginia State University (WVSU) has been recognized as one of the top 50 most innovative small college business departments by BusinessResearchGuide.com.

The department was ranked No. 12 in the listing, based on factors such as progressive majors, progressive courses, study abroad opportunities, online offerings, connections to local business and technology.

“This is another prime example of how our students have access to a world class educational experience right here in the Kanawha Valley,” said WVSU President Brian O. Hemphill. “We are committed to providing an affordable, quality education for our students, and this ranking recognizes our efforts.”

The online business research service, cited the department’s wide spectrum of curriculum, spanning topics for both for-profit and non-profit businesses. They also cited WVSU’s post graduate opportunities, and the University’s low 15-to-1 student-to-faculty ratio.
