TIME, Fortune, Money Spring 2015 PR Internship (New York, NY)

TIME, Fortune and Money – a global media brand is seeking a motivated, eager, and reliable intern to work in a fast-paced, engaging media environment for their public relations department.

Requirements and Eligibility
Apart from a keen interest in journalism and public relations, ideal candidate should be a junior or senior college student detail oriented, resourceful, and enthusiastic with proper phone etiquettes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and understanding of social media platforms is a plus. Previous media experience preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities
Being an integral part of the PR team, interns would be required to assist with the development of press materials, database management, and TV bookings. Pitching online news stories, researching relevant media contacts, social media monitoring, and general administrative tasks are also included.

A major in English, Journalism, Writing, or media related program is essential along with knowledge and expertise of word, social media, and content management systems. Moreover, the intern must receive academic credit to be eligible to participate and be available for working for at least two full days.

Responsibilities
Daily tasks include compiling news briefs and sending pitches for the website. Transcribing interviews with celebrities and researching stories may follow up.

School credit is a must along with 20 hour per week commitment for ten weeks.

Responsibilities
