When choosing a degree, it’s nearly always in a student’s best interest to strive for the highest level of education possible. In many fields, a doctoral degree is considered standard. In others, it is not yet standard but is always considered as an asset when hiring. In addition, many industries have begun to require or prefer doctoral degrees where, once, only a Bachelor’s degree was needed.
