Best Graduate Schools: Hampton University Makes Top 50 List

The Hampton University Graduate College has been named one of the 2016 Best Graduate Schools in America by Gradschoolhub.com.

Factors weighed to determine the top 50 Graduate Schools in the country included class size, level of degree awarded, prestige of the faculty, and program rankings.

“The Hampton University Graduate College offers a wide range of Master’s, Professional and Doctoral programs. We have a dedicated faculty and opportunities for extensive research and exciting creative scholarly activity,”  said Dr. Michelle Penn-Marshall, Assistant Provost for Research and Grantsmanship & Dean of the Graduate College.

Through global scientific collaborations, cutting-edge research projects and increased technological enhancements on the campus, Hampton University has emerged as a leading research institution of higher education. Hampton University scientists have taken an interdisciplinary approach to the treatment and research of cancer. The university has also established itself as a leader in particle and nuclear physics. Our Center For Atmospheric Sciences is part of a team that is launching satellites that will improve scientists’ understanding of global warming and hurricanes.

Dedicated to education, development of character, and multiculturalism, Hampton University has a rich history and offers students a high-quality education as well as opportunities to gain valuable experience.

Students have the chance to interact closely with faculty who are dedicated to student success. Conferences, fellowships, internships, research opportunities, and paid research positions are also available on Hampton’s Graduate College website.

The surrounding city of Hampton, Virginia contains the NASA Langley Research Center, the Virginia Air and Space Center, many historical sites, and several opportunities for entertainment and recreation.
