A Historic Milestone
During the month of March, Elizabeth City State University will begin a year-long celebration recognizing 125 years of academic excellence. ECSU invites you to join us at the many events and activities we have planned.
This anniversary is an opportunity for us to honor our past while we embrace our future. A lot has changed since the school’s founding in 1891 and the University looks forward to celebrating ECSU’s countless achievements through the years.

H.B. 383: A Normal School Created (Presented by The University Players)
The University Players of Elizabeth City State University reenact the legislative process that resulted in the establishment of the Elizabeth City Normal School, now known as Elizabeth City State University.
