College Colors Day 2014: Show Your HBCU Spirit on Aug 29th

The countdown has begun! On Friday, August 29th, college football fans across the nation will be celebrating College Colors Day 2014. Each year this day is celebrated to mark the beginning of the athletic and academic year, wherein alumni, students, and supporters are encouraged to wear their college colors throughout the day. All HBCU fans are urged to join in the celebration by proudly sporting their school colors.

Show Your HBCU Love on College Colors Day 2014

The competition is scored via fan engagement on social media platforms through a point based system. HBCU supporters can earn points for their college by sharing school-themed images on Twitter and Instagram with #collegecolors and your HBCU’s official hashtag. But, make sure to do so between August 1st and August 28th. Additionally, 50 extra points can be earned per day by downloading the College Colors Mobile App and sharing pictures. Your can download the College Colors App for is available on the Apple App store and on Google Play.

Compete for Contest Prizes

The university with the most points at the end of the competition will be crowned the Spirit Cup champion and receive a $10,000 scholarship fund donation. Fans can also enter a chance to win an all-expense paid trip to the 2015 College Football Playoff National Championship Game. The winner will be entitled for a round trip air ticket for two, a $500 American Express gift card, hotel accommodations, and two tickets to the national championship game. However, it’s important that you should be at least 18 years old at the time of the entry.
