High school students write papers that are informative whereas college papers are explorative. Here are few tips that will help you to create a top-notch paper for your college and ensures you that will help you to enhance your grades.

Starting the essay can be the hardest part. Brainstorming about your personality traits and defining your strengths is a good place to begin.

Choosing a research paper topic

Choose a research paper topic which interest and challenges you, and let your first draft flow, after you’ve gathered your notes, create an outline to organize your essay, don’t worry about making it perfect. Just get your ideas flowing and your thoughts down on paper.

Create your essay in parts and keep it simple and informative

  • Introduction: Write a brief introduction about your essay
  • Body: Write several paragraphs explaining the main idea of your essays with examples
  • Conclusion: Finally write one paragraph that summarizes and ends your essay.

Always be specific

Be creative

A good academic essay will be defined how creatively it’s written, a reader will know without any doubt what the paper is going to say. Your writing will be much clearer as well, because it will be defined by that simple, clear statement.

Get feedback

Show your draft to family, friends or teachers. Ask if it makes sense and sounds like you. Consider their feedback and make changes, but keep your voice. “Make sure the essay is in your own voice. If at some point you read over your essay and you hear your mother’s voice, something is wrong.”

Proofread and make corrections

Read your essay over carefully to check for typos and spelling and grammar errors. It’s best to ask someone who hasn’t seen it yet to take a look as well. They’re likely to see mistakes you won’t catch.

So what are you waiting for, just pen down your first essay with full confidence and excel in your exams.
