We’re excited to announce the 2014 HBCU Classics football schedule for all of the black college football fans and supporters everywhere. This year we have a new football classic to add our list. The first annual Bahamas HBCUX Classic will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 in Nassau, Bahamas. This event will feature a football game and battle of the bands showdown between Central State University and Texas Southern University. If can’t make the trip to the Bahamas — don’t fret. There are several great HBCU classics to choose from in the States. September is the start of the HBCU classics football schedule, beginning on Labor Day weekend.
All of the HBCU classics bring their own cultural flavor, and provide unique experiences depending on the host city, venue, football teams, band match-ups, and the fans. HBCU alumni, families, and friends can expect to have a good time both at the game, and outside of the game. This includes events such as pep rallies, tailgating, concerts, parades, after parties, college fairs, workshops and seminars. So if you haven’t made plans already, or you are sitting on the fence about attending one of the HBCU classics – maybe this list will help. Greetings Fam, I'm a proud Florida A&M Rattler and a second-gen HBCU grad through and through. Co-founding and steering the ship at HBCU Lifestyle is my gig, where I get to mix my love for UX design, digital marketing, and tech into something really cool for the HBCU community.
