Throughout 2016, Delta Community will award a total of $8,000 to four students attending Historically Black College and Universities (HBCUs) in Georgia. Each quarter, the scholarship entry period is announced on Atlanta radio station KISS 104, and you can submit your application through its website.

HBCU Scholarship 2016 Second Quarter Winner

On June 24th, Delmer Jones III, a sophomore at Morehouse College, became the most recent recipient of a $2,000 award from the Delta Community Credit Union scholarship program for students attending HBCUs. He is pursuing a Marketing degree at Morehouse, where he finished his freshman year with a 3.7 GPA.

Scholarship Award

Each quarter, the contest awards a scholarship for $2,000 to one student. In February, June, September and December 2016 the prizes are announced.

Student Eligibility

  • Current undergraduate students at any of Georgia's Historically Black Colleges or Universities (HBCUs)
  • Graduating high school seniors accepted to enroll in one of Georgia's HBCUs

Winner Selection

KISS 104 and Delta Community Credit Union will select one winner each quarter from among the most compelling submissions. Winners will be chosen after the contest period ends. Winners will be contacted by a representative from Credit Union and announced by KISS 104 on-air within 7 days after each contest period.
