HBCU events have become some of the most celebrated of all college events across the spectrum. Even non-alumni look forward to Atlanta’s HBCU Battle of the Bands and the crowning of HBCU homecoming queens. We offer coverage of it all! But we also know HBCU events extend beyond the party scene to encompass each school’s surrounding community. Events such as Spelman’s Women of Color Conference or Tuskegee’s year-long celebration of George Washington Carver capture the spirit of community that has been at the heart of HBCUs since they were founded.
