Alcorn State Ranked as One of the Best Colleges in Mississippi

Alcorn State University

The online media research company Stacker named Alcorn State University as one of Mississippi’s best schools in its 2021 “Best Colleges in Mississippi.”

“I am thrilled that we continued to be recognized for a high-quality education, and at an affordable price,” said Dr. Felecia M. Nave, president of Alcorn State University. “For 150 years, we have provided a life-changing learning experience for students where they can develop the confidence and skills to succeed as they prepare for careers of the future.”

According to the release, “Choosing a college is one of the most important decisions a person will make for their education, impacting everything from future earnings and employment to potential student loan debt and social circles.”

Stacker compiled lists of best colleges in each state using research data from Niche, an online market leader in helping students find the right school for them. Niche provides extensive in-depth rankings, report cards, and reviews of the more than 4,000 degree-granting colleges and universities in the U.S.
