Recognized as one of the world leaders within the automobile industry, Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc has partnered with United Negro College Fund (UNCF) to provide scholarship opportunities within the targeted UNCF institutions. The funding is available only for selected Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Currently, the corporate is inviting applications in UNCF Students. Eligibility Criteria for the Toyota Scholarship
To be eligible for the scholarship, the applicant must:
- Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0.
- Be a U.S. citizen, U.S national, or permanent resident.
- Be a student enrolled full-time at Clark Atlanta University, Bethune-Cookman University, Morehouse College, Spelman College, Xavier University at Louisiana or Tuskegee University.
- Be majoring in Architecture, Accounting, Business, Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Communications, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science/MIS, Economics, Education, Engineering, English, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Finance, Human Resources, History, Industrial Engineering, Information Management Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology, International Business, Management, Management Information Systems, Manufacturing Engineering, Marketing, Mass Communications, Mass Media Arts, Mechanical Engineering, Political Science, Psychology, Public Administration, Public Relations, Supply Chain Management and Logistics.
Individual Toyota Scholarship Award
The selected recipients will be eligible to receive a scholarship amount of $7,500 for the academic year 2014-15.
How to Apply for the Toyota Scholarship
For full award consideration, you need to complete an online application which includes a one-page essay describing your career aspirations. As a prospective scholar, it is mandatory for you to invite two references to submitting online recommendations. However, be sure that at least one of the references is familiar with your academic performance.
