Delta Community Credit Union is committed to better the financial lives of its members. Their financial program for young adults and annual scholarship program aims to help these members with early financial milestones such as going to college.

In addition to these, to celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2015, Delta Community in partnership with Atlanta radio station KISS 104.1 is giving away a total of $7,500 in scholarships to selected four students of historically black colleges and universities.

Recently, the first Delta Community Credit Union’s HBCU scholarship was awarded to Adam Turner from McDonough who plans to attend Morehouse College this fall to complete his major in Biology and live his dream of becoming a Dentist.

The rest of the three scholarships will be awarded each quarter in 2015.  Be sure to stay tuned in June which is the next application period for your chance to enter to win the next scholarship for $1,875 to a HBCU. To participate, students can nominate themselves or be nominated by others via the KISS 104.1 website. The winners will be chosen based on the submission of a 75 word essay.

We congratulate Adam Turner for becoming the first recipient of the HBCU scholarship and eagerly wait to list the other three deserving students. For more information on the scholarship or to apply, please visit Delta Community Credit Union and KISS 104.1 HBCU Scholarship page.
