The award is open to female undergraduate or graduate students pursuing a science or engineering degree related to tribology. Selection is based on essay quality, faculty recommendation, and extracurriculars. Previous Booser Award winners may reapply with new research, while Klaus Award winners and previous McCoy Award recipients are not eligible.
