Classes, Courses and Co-Eds: Top Android Apps for College Students

Top Android Apps: A Close-up of an African American student with smartphone College students are tech savvy and can’t get through school without a lot of different apps. A lot of these applications that are shown to college students are ones for leisure or other pursuits. But what we really need to start showing college students is a new apps they can use that will be helpful for their day to day life in classes, different courses and getting around efficiently and safely.

Here are some of the best Android apps:

APPS FOR CLASS

Andie Graph

One of the first apps you’ll want to look into is for that pesky math homework. The Andie Graph calculator is one serious piece of work. It has all the functionality of a graphing calculator and can be used either on your phone or tablet. It’s also one less thing you’ll have to carry in your bag now.

CamScanner

Our next Android app for your courses is a productivity tool called CamScanner. For those of you that have to write down notes and want to store them in the digital environment, this is the right tool for the job. You can scan notes, study guides, homework, and other forms to look at later and store. There is also functionality in the application that allows you to share it with others or fax it out when a signup form is needed.

Another App that can be a lifesaver for printing out a smart list of classes is Evernote. This is one of the best planning apps you can have on an Android. It allows you to take notes, notebooks and even collaborate with others. There is the ability to create a detailed schedule as well for yourself. The best part, it’s even free to use!

STAYING INFORMED

Weather Live

It’s something we often take for granted, but knowing what the weather is going to be like for the day is an important thing to take note of. At Apalon Apps, they’ve created a live weather app that displays interactive experiences of what the weather is going to be like. It’s a great way to know whether or not you think your class is going to get canceled or if the trek through the quad is going to be hard.

Google Drive

Another way to stay informed is by having all of your documents and potential homework assignments and other necessities in the cloud. Google Drive offers one of the best systems for this. Through your free Gmail account, you can access documents that can be used for simple documents, PowerPoints or excel sheets. All of this is especially helpful if you need to collaborate with others in your classroom.

One of the things you want to look for in any major application is the ability to stay knowledgeable, organized and ready to work. College can throw a lot at you and this can all be handled with ease by using the right app. Find out what you need to use today.
