Atlanta Football Classic Makes Impact with Free Community Activities

Black College Football fanatics are sure to enjoy the annual tradition of attending the 2012 Bank of America Atlanta Football Classic. This trademark event in the state of Georgia is one of the nation’s largest Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) football games. This year’s 24th annual classic will feature rivals Florida A&M University versus Southern University.

The Bank of America Atlanta Football Classic tradition is not just a football game, but also a community outreach and fundraising initiative by the 100 Black Men of Atlanta. The proceeds will benefit Project Success, which helps prepare Atlanta Public Schools’ students to successfully graduate from high school and prepare them for post-secondary education. This initiative supports school programs and at the same time provides financial assistance to students in the form of scholarships. Proceeds will also benefit the participating universities. Everybody is invited to watch the game on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the Georgia Dome with the kickoff to start at 3:30 pm.
