North Carolina A&T State University today announced the launch of a textbook rental program through its university bookstore, beginning in the Spring 2011 semester. Emailed to students early this afternoon, campus officials said in the announcement that the program will provide much-needed financial relief to students with a more than 50 percent markdown on selected books.
“Textbook affordability is a key concern for many college students. They are searching for quality textbooks at affordable rates,” said Donna Morris-Powell, Director, University Bookstore. “Many students have turned to the Internet searching for lower priced textbooks, we are offering students an option for lower textbook prices within the local bookstore. By renting textbooks through the store, students will save up to 50% off the cost of the new textbook and are assured the correct book without having to search multiple online sites for the best deal.”
New and used textbooks will continue to be available for purchase at the university bookstore.
