Are you or do you know a youth, ages 16 to 21, with a passion for entertainment, business or community? Would you like an opportunity to win an apprenticeship experience with Steve Harvey? If so, the Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation, partnered with Coca-Cola, want to help make your dreams come true!
The Pay It Forward Program aims to give kids exposure to some of the biggest industry names in the country. Winners will get to see how huge, multi-national corporations work and win a scholarship.
How the Steve Harvey Contest Works
Signing up is simple. Visit the registration page, click on the appropriate button (nominate yourself or nominate a youth) and follow the directions. That's all there is to it! Winners will be notified on or around April 15th, 2014.
What You Can Win
Two winners will be selected to receive an Apprentice Experience with Steve Harvey, as well as a $5,000 educational scholarship. One winner will be selected to receive a $1,000 gift card. Apprentice Experiences include working with the Steve Harvey Mentoring Program and seeing what it takes to bring the Steve Harvey Morning Show and Family Feud to the air each day. Winners will also receive a trip for two (an adult or, if the winner is of legal age, an adult guest) to the city where their Mentoring Program experience will take place.
Who Should Enter?
Any youth with a passion for his or her future is a great candidate. In the past, winners have had the chance to tour the headquarters of huge corporations, meet with key staff members and get a first-hand look at how these companies function.
Past winners have had the chance to see first-hand the day-to-day operations of a large conglomerate corporation, one of the world's largest entertainment companies for African Americans, a community foundation and a national magazine. Each winner has had the opportunity to meet with and shadow key leaders within each organization, such as CEOs and editors. Winners have consistently reported that the Steve Harvey Mentoring Program experience has been invaluable and spurred them on to even higher goals.
