Coca Cola Scholarship: Apply for Up to $20,000 in Funding

The Coca Cola Scholarship is one of the most prestigious achievement based corporate sponsored program in the nation. Started in 1986 as a joint effort of The Coca-Cola Company and Coca-Cola bottlers to commemorate the 100th anniversary of their flagship brand, the scholarship program celebrates young individuals who are committed to making a significant impact on the world. Since its inception, the foundation has provided more than 5,400 Coco-Cola Scholars with over $54 million in education support. 150 students are selected each year to receive a scholarship worth $20,000.

Eligibility Requirements for The Coca Cola Scholarship

The program is open to all current high school seniors, whether in a traditional or home school who are U.S. citizens; U.S. Nationals; U.S. Permanent Residents; Refugees; Asylees; Humanitarian Paroless; or Cuban-Haitan Entrants. They must be having a minimum 3.0 unweighted GPA at the end of the junior year of high school and anticipating completion of high diploma at the time of application. It’s also important to note that applicants who are children or grandchildren of owners, employees, officers of Coca-Cola bottling companies are not eligible to apply.

Program Rewards

Apart from the monetary award of up-to $20,000 the Coca Cola Scholarship program makes effort to stay connected with their scholars even after college. The receivers from all classes are given an opportunity to attend a Leadership Summit once every five years to engage in various interactive sessions developed by alumni.

Why Coca Cola Scholarship?

Unlike other programs, this scholarship is unique in its own way. The recipients have 4-10 years to use the awarded amount and can opt to defer all or part of the award anytime within 10 year of timeframe. Moreover, apart from using the funds for tuition at an accredited college or university, students can use their funds of other educational expenses, such as textbooks, on-campus housing, and a computer.
